There’s a hum of focused energy behind the counter as familiar dishes are thoughtfully prepared, each one offering a comforting connection to Vietnamese home cooking.
The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried, making it easy to imagine locals gathering here regularly, sharing time and stories over bowls of richly layered pho or plates of grilled pork vermicelli. Even on slower nights, the warmth in the kitchen and among the few patrons woven in the space is palpable.
New Saigon’s menu invites discovery through its balance of familiar favorites and thoughtfully executed variations — from steaming bowls of savory broth teeming with tender beef, to the crisp textures of summer rolls and delicate egg rolls. Seasonal touches and a few surprising staples like the ginger chicken and eggplant shrimp plates speak to a kitchen tuned finely to both tradition and approachable comfort. Beverages like Thai iced tea offer a smooth, iced sweetness that perfectly complements the meal’s gentle spices.

Here, the dining experience feels like more than just a meal; it’s a small pause in the day to connect with something lovingly crafted, served with a kind-hearted simplicity that resonates well beyond the table.

This "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. My mom and I finally had the chance to try it, and, boy, what a treat! We ordered takeout since my mom is elderly. We ordered the steamed rice with pork chop - shredded pork and eggs (38), shrimp and eggplant (don't know the number), beef stewed with noodle (3), crispy egg noodles special with shrimp (51), and the Hong Kong rice noodles (33). Everything was delicious! My mom liked the shrimp and eggplant best. (I couldn't find it on the menu, but the server knew what I was talking about). The pork chop and the shrimp and eggplant were among my favorites. I loved the beef stewed with noodle also. It might be easy to overlook this nondescript place, so I wanted to help bring notice to this little gem. Highly recommend!

Extremely good taste! We finished all our dishes. The soup and noodles are particularly nice, Cooked just enough to retain the texture. Must have a try! Recommendation: no.3 and 20 FYI, The owner is Vietnamese, dun really understand English, but it doesn't matter, u just need to let him know the number of your preferred dishes.

Great bowl of Pho. Took a long time to receive food, and some people who arrived later received their food first. Restaurant was clean.

They were really nice and let us eat thanksgiving dinner there even though they were closing. I liked the pho broth along with the crispy noodles. But most of all we were just happy to have a place to eat.

Pho and Vietnamese coffee was good. The prices were very low. Also had a nice view of the pond.
